In this context, Tunç Berkman, Marketing and Brand Consultant at TBS Investment Management Company & Happy Education Academy, and Hasan Dertli, Founder and CEO of Sodec, took the stage with the session titled “The Perfect Balance Between Security and Experience in AI-Powered Customer Onboarding.”
Tunç Berkman began his remarks by stating that cybersecurity costs have reached $8.5 trillion and that these costs have increased by 7000% due to the impact of deepfake technology.
Hasan Dertli highlighted the significant role artificial intelligence plays in our lives, illustrating how we utilize this technology both directly and indirectly with examples. He emphasized the presence of serious security vulnerabilities and discussed existing security solutions aimed at addressing these gaps, noting that users should not be solely responsible for ensuring their own security.
Dertli also pointed out that customers’ primary expectation is to have their issues resolved easily when contacting call centers. He demonstrated how deepfake and voice cloning technologies can achieve highly realistic voice and face manipulations. However, he noted that new measures taken in the field of security have simultaneously led to an increase in threats.
Dertli emphasized that deepfake technology enables transactions to be carried out using someone else’s face, stating that this poses a significant threat, not for institutions, but for individuals. He highlighted that such transactions, especially in banking and fintech, carry serious security risks.
Tunç Berkman pointed out that we share everything on social media, and in the absence of secure systems, this data could be used for various purposes. Hasan Dertli, on the other hand, stressed that not only institutions but also individuals need to take precautions against security vulnerabilities.
